Overview
I recently got to use the new XTD 3 Insight irons by Adams golf, that are available at Dick’s Sporting Good and Golf Galaxy locations; these are game improvement irons and are great for the higher handicap to a mid handicap player. The best thing about these clubs is the price, at $199 you won’t find a nicer set of irons unless you buy used and risk getting irons with nicks in the face of the club. These is a standard out of the box set, so you can’t do much customizing with what clubs you want; you get 4Iron through Gap Wedge and that is what most players using these clubs would need anyway, since 3 irons are so hard to hit. This club doesn’t look like the price might indicate and has a great look to them, with a red accent on the face to really make the stand out. I hit these clubs expecting them to not work well for me, with a faster swing speed and already making consistent contact with my irons; but these irons were right on the money. They were easy to swing, gave great feed back and the distance was about standard with what my irons fly.
Pros
The best part of these clubs is the weighting, they have a heel and toe weighting system allowing for maximum forgiveness. The cavity back design, helps with added force at impact giving players more distance then they are used to. The over-sized head is designed to instill confidence in the player at address, knowing they have a very large sweet spot to attack with.
Cons
I really don’t think there any cons to this club if they are purchased for the right reasons; these clubs are for mid to high handicaps and will improve your game immediately by launching the ball in the air and helping you get straight carry and more distance.
Wrap Up
As always you get what you pay for, and once you get to a certain point in your game you might want to upgrade but at $199 these clubs are perfect for the weekend golfer, the person on a budget or anyone interested in picking up the game of golf.

| These have the look of the more expensive irons on the market, and if you didn't know the price you would think they were priced similarly. Some cheaper irons look cheap, these look well made and professional. | |

| If you are a mid to high handicap player, these clubs are great for you. They will help launch the ball at impact and give you added carry to every club. Once you get to a certain point you will want to upgrade to a club you can work the ball with a little more. | |

| At $199 these irons are the best priced we have ever reviewed and perfect for the golfer on the budget that still wants top notch equipment. | |

| I would recommend these clubs to anyone interested in picking up golf for the first time or who are mid to high handicaps that want to improve their ball striking ability. | |
Awesome Irons!
As a high handicapper, I just upgraded my irons with the Adams Insight XTD3 Regular flex replacing my starter club set purchased from a well known chain super store and let me tell you, I recommend this to anyone! What an improvement! My lowest score was 99 and I usually shoot a 102 to 115. I have a decent short game but the long game needed improvement and the first time I used these irons, I scored an 86! Very forgiving...A miss-hit (due from topping the ball by lifting my head on the back swing), failed to achieve distance but the ball stays in play. Now, I'm striking the ball with confidence and feeding less fish (water hazards) and striking less trees...I love these irons!
