Sixteen years ago when Tiger stormed onto the scene and I decided I wanted to try this great game of golf, I bought a cheap starter set at the local K-mart, the set didn’t include a fairway wood. Once I started playing more and knew I loved the game, I got my hands on the original Adam’s Tight Lies fairway wood and, my driver never saw the light of day again. Adam’s recently announced it will be launching a new version of the classic club and it looks phenomenal, the original tight lies really set the bar for the present day fairway woods we are seeing. The Tight Lies was known for it’s upside down look, and very low center of gravity that made it playable from “Tight-Lies”, and lies of all types. The new version looks like it won’t disappoint as you can see from the picture, it still has a low center of gravity and Adam’s added the patented speed slots. The new Tight Lies was used at the Greenbier classic this year by Tom Watson and Kenny Perry, and came with rave reviews. I for one am excited to hit this when it comes out, and it has a little nostalgia feel to it. How about you?
