If you have played golf for more than a year or two, you have heard the name Antigua before; Antigua has been around for more than 30 years in the apparel industry and offers moisture wicking shirts that are very stylish. AGG had the pleasure of reviewing the Desert Dry Xtra-Lite 3 Button Polo shirts, from the summer 2013 collection. The first thing you notice you open the shirt and put it on, is how lite weight the shirt is, some other Golf "Dry-Fit" polo's on the market do a good job of keeping your dry but they seem heavy and bulky.

Today I had the opportunity to demo the Callaway Razr X Black Driver; this club has been on the market since the beginning of this year but this is the first chance I had to actually hit the club. The first thing you notice when looking at the is the deep black paint job that makes it really stand out;

I had never owned a gap wedge before, but knew I needed to purchase one when to complete my new set since the “gap” between sand and PW has been tricky for me. As I did for my Cobra Trusty Rusty sand wedge.

I have been looking for a chance to hit all Iron sets as I want to purchase a new set and have been trying and demoing everything I can to help me make the right decision. Yesterday, I got to demo the new Cobra AMP Irons and run through all the clubs in the set (4-GW).

I enjoy, and have gotten fairly skilled at, hitting the flop-shot. I’ve been told previously that a 60-degree wedge is not usually recommended for players of higher handicaps, since they can be harder to control with such an open face.

Average Guy Golf was lucky to have such a great and well respected in the industry company send us some of their Custom Grind Wedges to review; I was looking forward to testing these clubs more than anything I can remember in the last few months. I have heard great things about the wedges, and while I've hit probably every wedge on the market, I have yet to upgrade my wedges so I was hoping these wedges would take my game to the next level. Before I get into the review, I just wanted to share a little story about the first rounds I played with them. It was a cool wet day, so instead of going to the range with these I went straight to the course as my home course was wide open and I could play and hit multiple shots from different areas with the clubs. On the first hole, I pulled an 8 iron on my approach to about 7 feet off the green, so I pulled out the Henry Griffitts 56 Wedge with a 14 bounce and put it back in my stance to hit a little bump and run. Low and Behold I sank the chip, the first contact that wedge made with a ball was a chip-in for birdie from the green side rough; my second round with these clubs I fired a 77, my first round every in the 70's, so you can imagine my opinion on these wedges already.

On friday here on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, the calendar said May 23rd but it felt like a cold windy March day, with patches of rain coming through as well. On a normal day, when asked to play golf, I would look at my buddies and ask if they were crazy; however on this day, I had just received the HIRZL Trust Control to review. I have heard that these gloves are great in the rain and I figured what better way to test it then try it myself. After spending an hour on the range testing the glove, in a dry patch of the day, I found the glove to be incredibly tacky.

Loudmouth Golf is well-known for their outrageous styles and bright colors; the company is aptly-named, since the apparel is “loud.” They have sponsored John Daly for the last couple of years, so if you’ve seen him on TV and wondered where he got that outfit – it’s all Loudmouth!Check Out the Full Review Here
There isn't much I don't love about the game of golf, but one thing I have always been fascinated by is the ever evolving fashion of the game of golf. You certainly can not getting any bolder than LoudMouth Golf; with their crazy patterns and bright colors, I hope your game can live up to the attention you will be receiving on the course. In my opinion the golf course isn't a private school with a uniform, not everyone has to be in a khakis and dark blue or other dull solid color polo.

I recently read about a new line of MaxFli Revolution wedges that were affordable. After doing some research I found that Dick's Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy are the only sellers of MaxFli golf clubs, and I happened to be in a new Dick's Sporting Goods that opened by my house the other day.

This was the first time I ever picked up any golf product made by Mizuno, and I was thoroughly impressed. I am not sure how others feel but playing baseball through college I always associate Mizuno with baseball products; however after trying the 825 Irons I will no longer think of Mizuno as a baseball only company.

If you have read any of my other reviews, you can tell I like to "stand out" a little bit on the golf course; I like to be able to add a little personaility to my golf style, and not be the guy in khakis and a blue shirt. Well that same style translates over to my clubs as well, and that is why I was very excited to test out the new Niion Golf Grips by Golf Pride. These grips come in 5 fun color schemes, and are each two different colors that have a bright accent to go along with the their main color.

Most golfers don't realize how important a golf grip is to their game, if you your grip is old it can become slippery and naturally you will hold the club tighter to compensate making for arrant shots.

Have you ever noticed over time drivers have become larger, 3 Irons have turned into a hybrid and even putters have become spaceship looking large mallets; but what is the one constant? Wedges. SCOR golf asked the question why should your wedge look like your 6 Iron when you want two totally different shots out of the two clubs? What they came up with is an award winning set of “Scoring Irons” that will improve the game of everyone from a scratch golfer to someone struggling to break 100. At SCOR golf they do not say their wedges will help your short game, they say SCOR golf will help your SCORING range. They believe from your 9 iron down are scoring range clubs and the technology behind these clubs should be different than your mid to long irons. What came out of this philosophy was an incredible line of clubs called the SCOR 4161; these clubs will improve your scoring range game and lower your handicap, guaranteed.

I know the R11 has been out for a little over a year now, but I just picked up a used one at Duke's Golf in Annapolis and it has done wonders for my game. The R11 I purchased is 9 degrees, has the Fujikura Blur extra stiff shaft, and a corded golf pride white and black grip on it.

A friend I play with a lot, recently picked up the new R11s by Taylor Made with a stiff shaft and the standard TM360 grip. The main difference between the R11S and the R11 is the 20cc of bigger club face size and the two additional settings for the face angle.

I had the opportunity to hit these irons the other day, and found they are great irons for people seeking game improvement irons; I personally don't think these irons are for the lower handicap player but anyone with a 11 or higher handicap could benefit from these irons.
