It has happened to all of us, mid-round our phones are on their last leg, and we are expecting an important work call. There hasn’t been an answer for this until now, when Gimme Charge released their Golf Cart Phone Charging system.
I have a laser scope but I really like a few golf GPS apps on the market, you can keep your score, handicap, club distance as well as get exact yardages to all hazards and bunkers all from the screen of your phone or tablet. However the biggest draw back is by mid-round these apps kill my phone or tablets battery, and I can’t use the app for the entire round. Gimme Charge came up with a brilliant system that works with most major Cart Manufacturers to be able to charge your device just like you can in your car. Simply plug the adapter into the golf cart (different location on different makes of golf cart) then take the USB that came with your device and plug it into your phone and into the adapter on the golf cart.
There are countless reasons why this product will save the day on your next round of golf, check out the list of things I personally have used it for below.
1) Charging My Phone
2) Charging My Tablet
3) Keeping my phone charged so I can stream music while playing
4) Keeping my phone charged so I could use the great golf apps available for a full round
5) Downloaded an episode of Sesame Street and kept my tablet charged while my daughter watched it after she got tired of golfing with me
6) Hooked up USB speakers and listened to football games while golfing
7) Was able to hook up my tablet, and connect to an employee’s computer at work and fix it remotely from the golf course with out killing the battery
8) Used my Uncles Callaway GPS Device and kept it charged for the full round
As you can see there are a million different uses for this product, something so simple really will make your golf round more enjoyable. If you play at the same golf course all the time you can order one of three individual systems for Yamaha, E-Z-GO or Club Car or if you play at multiple courses you can order the Universal system that comes with an adapter to fit all three makes of Golf Cart. I have the universal system and so far I have not found a course, where it didn’t fit the carts. Being a father and having a 9-5 job, I often sneak out during the day to get a round in, with the Gimme Charge, I can easily keep up with work emails and not worry about killing my battery.
I would highly recommend the Gimme Charge, and at $70 for the Universal and $40 for the individual they make a perfect Christmas present. Besides for all the wives out there, your husband can no longer say his phone died when he is golfing .
