I recently read about a new line of MaxFli Revolution wedges that were affordable. After doing some research I found that Dick’s Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy are the only sellers of MaxFli golf clubs, and I happened to be in a new Dick’s Sporting Goods that opened by my house the other day. I have been looking for a Sand Wedge for quite sometime now, and thought I would be looking at paying the normal around $100 for a Vokey or Cleveland wedges and then I saw the $39.99 MaxFli – Revolution wedges. I was very skeptical, because I had never really heard the name MaxFli when talking about wedges or clubs in general for men; I do know they make great clubs and sets for women. I decided to go for it, as I loved the dark copper look of the wedge and needed a 56 Degree as I have been doing all my chipping and approach shots with a PW and a Lob Wedge and that makes my short game very inconsistent. I went straight to the range, and tried this wedge out, thinking I would be disappointed. I was thoroughly impressed, I have hit the expensive wedges in the past and this wedge performed just as good as all of them. You have exceptional feel with this club because of the soft steel they used, you can feel the ball on the club. You can hit this club from any lie because of the dual cambered sole; overall this club is a steal of a deal at $40 and if you need a wedge but don’t have the money for the big names this club won’t disappoint. The copper paint does wear off on this club, like most wedges that are painted but I think it gives it a nice traditional aged look to it.
