When you hear the name Loudmouth, my guess is you think of two things 1) John Daly and 2) Loud in your face patterns and colors. So what do you get when a company synonymous with loud in your face patterns and colors puts out a product called a “Fancy Shirt”? In my opinion you get fun shirts that will surely be the talk of your next foursome. Here at AGG we have long been a fan of Loudmouth and chances are if you see me playing during the summer I have one of several pair of loudmouth shorts and polo’s, that I own, on. Last fall we did a best of jackets review and Loudmouth’s pull over long sleeve jacket is one of the most comfortable and yes very bold patterned jackets you will find on the market. So when we saw their new line of fancy shirts, we had to try them out, because when Loudmouth goes from bold to unbelievably bold, it has to be written about.
“Loudmouth is for those who want to stand out, smile and have fun. It all started in 2000 when founder Woody! decided to make his golf outings convivial occasions and produced a pair of powder blue pants with Bugs Bunny on them. It wasn’t long before this tongue-and-cheek fashion statement took on a life of its own, and he realized there was a hidden desire on the golf course… to play LOUD! With a team of business partners, the brand has grown internationally from the United States to Canada, Asia, Europe and Australia. Today, Loudmouth is the most recognizable golf brand in the world and is rapidly expanding into the fashion and lifestyle industries. Loudmouth’s vibrant prints and bold patterns can be instantly spotted and are always a great icebreaker for any conversation. Loudmouth is worn by many athletes including two-time major winning golfer, John Daly, 28th world-ranked professional golfer, Pornaong Phatlum, 5th world-ranked darts player, Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright, the USA men’s beach volleyball team in the 2012 London Olympics; and the Norwegian men’s curling team in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics & 2014 Sochi Olympics. Loudmouth has been featured on The Today Show, Good Morning America, NBC Olympics, The Wall Street Journal, ESPN.com, Golf Digest, SportsCenter, Sports Illustrated, The Ellen Degeneres Show, TIME Magazine, The New York Times, WIRED Magazine, SB Nation, BBC, Conde Nast Traveler, American Idol, FOX Sports, OK Magazine, Glamour Magazine, Vanity Fair, Cosmopolitan Magazine, Lucky Magazine, ABC News, The Associated Press, CNN, several major motion pictures, TV shows, and more. The company is lead by a team of industry professionals who all claim to be the best golfer at Loudmouth Golf.” The above was taken directly from Loudmouth’s website, normally I would write my own overview of company history but they hit the nail on the head with it.
About the Fancy Shirt
When Loudmouth launched the fancy shirt they had three designs, and now they are up to 12, that alone tells you the popularity and quality of the “Fancy” line of shirts by Loudmouth. The shirts are a little different in other Loudmouth polo’s we have testes, as these are referred to as athletic cut, and have a very slim/tight fitting design to them. I would recommend for anyone who doesn’t look Channing Tatum in Magic Mike (from commercials I have not seen that movie haha), that you should order a size larger than normal. The are made of a 4 way stretch Poly micro pique that is extremely comfortable but is form fitting, and if you need a little bagginess to head the beer belly, then you most certainly need to order one size higher. They are all offered in sizes S-XXL with a few of the designs going up to XXXL. The shirts have a 3 button placket on the front, with a harder feeling collar that never wrinkles or lays wrong. The LoudMouth logo is emblazoned on the back neck area of the shirt, so it stands out on the back but does not take away from the crazy designs of the shirt. These shirts are perfect for the golf course, but fun and funky enough to wear out on a Friday night with a pair of jeans, you will certainly be the topic of happy hour if you wear one out. Check out all the shirt designs in the pictures below but make sure to check out a few of my favorites listed below. Coming in at $79.99 the shirts are what you expect to spend for the quality you get out of Loudmouth products.
Fancy Stars & Stripes – no description necessary perfect for the course, the fourth of July or a happy hour. Show your patriotism in style.
Fancy Dipstick – A Loud combination using only white and black
Fancy Banana Beach – A bright Pink shirt with Pink Sharks swimming around a Teal background, if this doesn’t get you noticed nothing will
