There are a million gadgets on the market today to help your golf game, a good portion of the them work well and here at Average Guy Golf if we come across one, we like to pass it along to our readers. Close to half your strokes are on the green, yet we all spend time ripping drivers as far as we can hit it on the driving range as practice. Practicing putting isn’t flashy, and you won’t turn heads on the putting green but practicing putting is a must to improve your score. That being said if when at the course you want to rip drivers and not putt, AGG has found a solution for you, the Putting Stroke Isolator by Putting Alley. No matter if you are in the office, at night before bed, in a hotel room while traveling or in your living room watching Sesame Street with your kids you can practice your putting stroke which will improve your golf game dramatically.
The Putting Alley comes in two different styles and is 27″ inches long, both models are two sided two allow for different levels of practicing. One side has a 1″ wide raised putting alley and the second side is even a more precise 1/2″ wide putting alley.
When putting at the practice green can you tell if you are hitting the ball perfectly straight off the club face? Most greens are undulated and while that helps you reading greens and the speed of the green, does it really help you make solid and square contact on your putting stroke? With the Putting Alley if your stroke is even a little off square the ball will fall off the raised Putting Alley on the way to the hole, and give you instant feedback. Once you get the stroke down and can make the ball follow the raised alley all the way to the hole, all you have to do is repeat that and build muscle memory. There are three main things that make amateurs or even pros for that matter miss putts, Putter Face Angle at impact, The putter head swing path and Off Center Impacts; the putting alley will help you fix all of that in a light weight, portable training device.
Original Putting Alley
Made from a black high strength plastic with an integrated raised green putting alley on each side of the device. On one side you have a 1″ raised alley that leads to a cup with a beveled side so you have to hit the ball perfectly down the raised alley. The second side looks exactly the same, however the alley is only 1/2″ wide for even more precise practicing.
Putting Alley Tour Edition
Made from a solid wood base available in many different beautiful finishes with an integrated machined aluminum raised putting alley on each side of the device. On one side you have a 1″ raised alley that leads to a cup with a beveled side to you have to hit the ball perfectly down the raised alley. The second side looks exactly the same, however the alley is only 1/2″ wide for even more precise practicing.
Ever since receiving my Putting Alley my morning work routine has changed, the putting alley is now at my office and me and two other guys now play a little game every morning. The first to make 10 in a row with out the ball falling off the raised putting alley gets his coffee for free for the morning. This makes practicing putting fun, and you get better all while having a laugh with friends. The putting alley is portable and perfect for the business man, who wants to get in practice while on the road. Think about your last round, how many putts did you push or pull? How easily could that 91 or 92 have been an 88 or 89? Trying to break 80, the putting alley will help.
It is hard to do our normal rating system as nothing else really falls in this category, but all I can say is if you use the Putting Alley and use it as intended your scores will go down, I can promise that.
