About a year ago, I was headed to Myrtle Beach for a 5 round 4 day golf trip; so I headed over to the local Dicks Sporting Goods to find a deal on a few boxes of balls. They had a buy one get one free deal on the Slazenger Raw Distance golf ball; so I grabbed two boxes for $20 and headed down to SC. I like the Slazenger off the tee as the ball is definitively long, but this ball is very hard and doesn’t have much feel at all. I think this ball is great for a higher handicap player, as it flies pretty straight and goes a long way, seems to be a ball geared toward slower swing speeds. The RAW ball uses a 428 dimple style, that helps to launch the ball into the air giving your greater carry. If you are a mid handicap or better player I would say stay away from these, and go to a ball with a softer feel to it. The price is definitively right for this ball and the average golfer out there.
