Company Background: Travis Mathew first earned notoriety thanks to its sponsorship of Bubba Watson, which they were when he won the 2012 Master’s. The company, founded by Travis Johnson, has been around for a number of years but only recently has become one of the “hot” apparel companies, mainly due to Watson’s recent success on tour. Watson switched to Oakley at the end of 2012, but Travis Mathew has many other well-known professionals currently on its team: Charley Hoffman, Luke List, Andres Gonzalez, James Hahn, and Patrick Cantlay.
Travis Mathew offers customers a wide variety of clothing options and styles. They produce items to literally cover you from head-to-toe: hats; polos, t-shirts and sweaters; belts; pants and shorts; shoes and socks; even iPhone cases. For the type who likes to coordinate outfits, the website has style guides and special sections devoted to the particular season’s collections.
Travis Mathew was kind enough to send AGG some shirts to review. The one I received is the Mommasulo (http://shop.travismathew.com/mommasulo-light-grey-p/410304-059.htm). When you hold the shirt in your hands, it feels as if it has a slight weight to it; upon donning it however, that “weight” goes away and you notice it actually feels quite light on the body. Made of 60% pima cotton/40% polyester, the fabric is very comfortable. This shirt has a light grey color, with purple/white and black/dark grey stripes in the section above the chest.
